In a preliminary trip to the Northeast Alex Hobson and I spent 3 weeks touring Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. The latter being my 50th State.

We traveled to Cape Cod to visit my cousin Margret and her wife Patty. We traveled around the Cape on the ground and by boat. Had a great visit.

We then traveled to Bar Harbor where we visited with friends Mike and Jean Ginevan who are retired there. We also visited Acadia National Park. The weather was spectacular.

We then visited my cousin Robin and his wife Cathy on the coast of Maine. All the lobster I could eat and good company. A beautiful house and lots of good food.

Then we drove across Maine through the White Mountains to Burlington on Lake Champlain. Then we got a little lost so we ended up going to Ben and Gerry’s three times. One day Alex ate a large waffle cone and then went and got a large milkshake. Ah to be young again. Then we followed Vermont route 100 down the front of the Green Mountains. A spectacular drive which I Found in a book of scenic drives of America which my friends gave me for retirement.

We returned home early on a Sunday morning and the SAY kids washed my RV.
